The Queen's Garden:
Two rock bridges near Wall Street:
Hiking up Navajo Trail:
The next morning we let the horses do the work. My horse, Ringer, was a biter. This was amusing until he went for my leg. Ringer deserved a swift kick, and the horse in front of us both agreed and obliged:

Hiking down to Peekaboo Loop from Bryce Point:
Looking up to the windows:
We loved Peekaboo Loop:
Unfortunately, we had a schedule to keep (just days from the Grand Canyon!), so we moved on to Zion. If Bryce was small and full of wierd rock formations, Zion was huge and open with gigantic red cliffs.
The first day we decided to cover more ground on horseback. My horse (forgot his name, so we'll call him Bitey) was another biter, as Lili's horse Midnight would attest. Maybe I am doing something wrong:

Bitey waits for his chance:
We passed a buffalo farm at the right time. Mmmm, burgers:
The next day we packed an egg sandwich (thanks free hotel breakfast!) for the hike up to Observation Point. Maybe this guy could smell it:
Entering the slot canyon:
1000+ feet of smooth rock.
Getting there:
Closer:
Finally. 2,500 feet up. Lili ate her egg sandwich immediately, but eventually I convinced her to look at the view:
Back down through the slot canyon:
From Zion we went on to Las Vegas. VEGAS BABY! We hit all the Vegas essentials in one day: vaccination clinic, banks, doctor's office, laundromat, drug stores, business center, convenience stores. WooHoo! PARTY!!! (seriously, we are not fans of Las Vegas). We were very happy to get to the airport the next day to start our Grand Canyon adventure.
